My approach to portraits 

Photographing families, children and pets is a wonderful experience and I really enjoy meeting the amazing people who book me to capture a moment in time.

I can arrange to meet you at a suitable location for the photo shoot and recommend somewhere which as well as being a great background for the images, also is a special place to you. The shoot takes approximately one hour and is designed to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience, resulting in natural looking pictures.

Child photography is unpredictable but possibly the most rewarding as I never know what will happen next. I always like to use an outdoor location and take a walk and a chat with the children before I even go anywhere near my camera. It is amazing how they soon accept me as friend and will chat happily and forget they are there to have their photo taken. Once the camera comes out, we can have some fun and I am able to photograph key moments whilst the children are playing, resulting in some lovely finished images.

Babies are always lovely to photograph and they grow up so quickly. I have a large framed photograph of my daughter on the wall at home when she was 15 months old and I still look at it everyday and will always treasure it. If your baby is very young, I usually advise that I take the images in your home, as it is more convenient to you and you have everything to hand. I can bring props along if you need something suitable such as blankets or throws.

Over the last couple of years , I have  had many families contacting me, who are booking holidays in the Lake District and Cumbria and arranging a photo shoot whilst they are here. It is a great idea as many families these days live in different parts of the country (or even world!) and it is rare when they have the opportunity to get together. They always have a great time and it really brings everyone close. Family pets usually join in too!

As a make up artist, I can also offer make up as an optional extra for a special treat.

Photo session plus USB- £275.00                                  

This includes the photography session , full professional editing of images presented on USB  at high resolution,
