One very tentative phone call asking if I can capture the moment

Which then becomes stolen minutes of panic trying to arrange everything via calls and texts without being overheard or because the proposed has just nipped to the shop for ten minutes. - Don’t worry I’ve done this before! It will all be OK. Everything comes together and I’ll be where I say I’ll be (you just won’t see me because I’ll be in some contortionist position behind a rock or a tree, trying to be as small as possible, so I don’t give the game away). I am quite happy to help set up the area for you beforehand with champagne, candles, "will you marry me" banners or anything else you have brought along in secret, to make your occasion unique and extra special.

After the proposal… sighs of relief! You can then enjoy a relaxed mini shoot of the two of you to complete your proposal shoot.

Engagement / Pre Wedding Shots

A great way to experience me doing my job before your big day

Pre wedding photography sessions allow you to relax in front of the camera, just being you. I prefer to use a location that is meaningful to you. This could take place where you are getting married, a special walk you like or somewhere that will hold personal memories when you look back at your images. It usually takes around an hour and can be arranged to suit your availability if you are coming visiting The Lake District before your wedding.

Some ‘brides-to-be’ also use this opportunity to have their wedding makeup and hair trial with me prior to the shoot. You have the option to keep your makeup on and I can adapt your hair after the trial so it works with your pre wedding shoot outfit.
